"The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge. "The property had everything we needed. Sitting outside in the evening was very nice. The log burner was cosy after the sun went down. It was only a few minutes drive to the local shop and distillery. That being said,some mould remover and a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. shop and distillery."

"The property has a cosy comfy cottage feel and look internally. The bed was comfy as well. The viewing room above is great for reading etc. The Lookout really is a great place for viewing the sea and surrounding vistas! We enjoyed a very peaceful week away from normal life and noise. No noisy traffic except for the odd motorboat or lifeboat on call! We took our kayaks and were able to leave them near the slipway ready for use. "No contact from Homeaway regarding getting keys etc. Hours spent on the phone to various "customer service". Found out myself that it was managed by cottages. com. Logged in to their website to find all the information there. Probably spent too much money by booking through Homeaway rather than direct with Cottages. Com. Views were stunning, great location. Lovely gifts upon arrival (best banana cake ever) fresh flowers a lovely touch. Very clean. Missing a couple of things like a bbq and heat...

"We had a lovely time in the property, the house was great and the welcome basket was a perfect touch! Part of the reason we chose to come was for its proximity to the two Machrihanish courses but we didn't quite realise how great the beaches are as well! If we ever come back to the area, we would definitely look to stay hear again."
