Barbreck Cottage is on the south side of Campbeltown Loch. It is conveniently placed close (1 mile) to the centre of Campbeltown with its full array of services, but has uninterrupted views over the water towards Davaar Island and Arran. Spectacular coastal scenery is only a short drive away in several directions. The house was recently refurbished and extended. A super cottage in Campbeltown
A brilliant cottage, warm, spacious with everything you could possibly need for a stay in this beautiful part of the country. Wonderful views. Great communication before our stay. Very comfortable beds. We’ve had a fantastic holiday and would love to return.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location
We had a great week in Campbeltown. The cottage was an ideal distance to town and great for exploring the area. There was plenty of room in the house and garden for the children to run around. The cottage is well equipped and comfy with a great collection of books.

A lovely,clean, well equipped property in a great location. Great communication before our stay which made the check in process very easy. The parking area was suitable for one car but would have been a struggle if guests had additional vehicles. We hope to return for a future visit.

Tremendous location right on the water
What a great stay in this lovely house just outside Campbeltown. So much to see and do in the area - it's definitely a trek to get there, but very much worth it. Our whole family loved the week we had down there.

We really enjoyed this property and were greeted with a bottle of wine, milk & cookies. It's large and well equipped and beautiful views. Great bedding! A few little quirks with the cooker that were well explained & easy to get used to. Excellent stay and highly recommend!

Wonderful Week in Campbeltown
This home was perfect for our week's stay in Campbeltown. The setting is idyllic--I could not stop taking pictures out of every window, looking out past the sailboats toward Davaar Island--and the house was very comfortable. Beds were great for our three children (ranging in age from 14 to 9), and we loved the walk from the cottage into town. We hope to repeat this lovely stay in the future.

This is a lovely place to stay, would have stayed longer if we could and we are hoping to stay again. Everything we needed was there and despite a couple of issues around worn indicators on the cooker, we enjoyed excellent meals with friends. Local manager was more than helpful; our warmest thanks.

Probably the most comfortable cottage we’ve stayed in . Amazing value for money. Stunning location, glorious views of the Loch including the seals. Very convenient for Campbeltown. Cottage was gloriously warm , ample hot water and extremely well equipped. Welcoming touch of flowers, milk wine and biscuits much appreciated on arrival,

Perfect location and cottage
I can only endorse many of the very positive comments previously written. Location perfect for a loch view. The house comfortable and clean with almost everything you are likely to need, but do need to bring/buy basic items yourself. No problem with that as gives business to local shops. Would certainly choose to stay here again.

Just one thing to say - perfect!
We have just returned from our second stay at Barbreck Cottage. Another relaxing and comfortable two weeks at this real lovely cottage. The cottage is perfectly situated – walking distance to Campbeltown centry with shops and very good restaurants/pubs, lovely views over Campbeltown Loch, close to three wonderful golf courses – everything we needed. The cottage is spacious, absolutely clean and well equipped. We will be definitely be back next year and fix date as soon as possible!

Perfect home away from home!
We spent the final week of a 4 week long trip to the UK at Barbreck Cottage. Everything was fantastic! We had plenty of room (actually more than we needed). The Primary Bedroom was bright, the bed and linens quite comfortable. The kitchen and living areas were also spacious and very comfortable. We were just a short mile walk from downtown Campbeltown and had everything we needed nearby. The view across the road of the Loch and the Island are beyond compare! We had a wonderful stay! They even accommodated my inept planning and let us move our entire stay ahead by one day. We were so grateful! We'll surely stay again when we return!!

Perfect cottage with lovely views - a real home away from home!
We have just returned home from Scotland and a two weeks stay in the Barbreck Cottage. My husband and I have absolutely enjoyed our stay there. The cottage is perfectly situated – walking distance to Campbeltown centry with shops and very good restaurants/pubs, lovely views over Campbeltown Loch, close to three wonderful golf courses – everything we needed. The cottage is very spacious, absolutely clean and very well-equipped - including kitchen. We loved to have an extended breakfast in the kitchen and watching ships coming in or going out, all the birds trying to catch fish and last but not least the (baby) rabbits on the lawn. We will be definitely be back next year and hope that by then the broken sitting room sofa will have been replaced (…the only “negative” thing…). The two new armchairs are perfect, but sometimes sitting on the sofa would be more comfortable.

Hopeless trying to get hold of someone with keybox code, had to chase down someone who was overseas!!! Wifi did not work at all!! Mobile phone only worked when standing in the garden!!! Bathrooms dirty!!!! Writing on dials on stove non existent, couldn't read them to work stove and oven!!!!
