"The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."

"With rain all around us, and hardly a drop falling in Omori. We enjoyed the isolation and had the fire cranking at night. The place was very cozy and we enjoyed wine in front of the fire and a mid winter quick dip in the lake. We are keen to come back and would recommend this place to others Thanks team "

"Fantastic location for a stay in National Park and to access Whakapapa ski resort. Accommodation was a home from home and the fire made all the difference. A very short, easy walk to the pub too. Book in confidence."

"Bachcare should not be listing this property. Very run down. Parts of the lounge floor are collapsing, strong mould smell throughout, toilet almost overflows each flush, kitchen plates/crockery were chipped and dirty. Our 7 year old was trapped in the toilet which has no exterior window thanks to a pencil, electrical tape and drill-bit being used as a lock mechanism (yes, you read that right). We eventually had to kick the door in to free a panicking child. Totally against Building Code....

"We loved the house; spaciousness and location were good, except there was no snow :( Communication with the owner was quick and easy. However, instructions for cleaning/leaving were not given so there was some confusion about what we needed to do. We had noticed that there were some areas that had not been cleaned for a while, then met the person who came to change the beds and apparently that is all she does? So - clearer instructions please, we would have cleaned if we'd known we had to."
