"Clean and great location "

"Mercure Yokosuka is a decent hotel. They try to push the restaurant they have by not allowing Uber eats deliveries but really this just makes for an inconvenience and does not make me want to try the restaurant. Other than that, there is a smoking room, the rooms are clean and fairly well laid out. Fridge, microwave, electric kettle, all included which was very nice. Shampoos, conditioners, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc all included as well. Overall well worth the money spent and I would definitely stay again."

"Our 2-day stay at the Kanogawa Grand Hotel was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is located on the beach in Kanogawa and our room on the 6th floor provided an awesome 180 degree view of beach. Our room was clean and comfortable and included our own personal outdoor hot water bath (furo) and indoor shower. The room was a Japanese style room with futon beds provided nightly by the staff. A breakfast buffet was included in the cost of the room and provided excellent food variety and deliciousness. The cost of the room was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend Kamogawa Grand Hotel to anyone looking for a nice beachfront hotel."

"The room I received was one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. It was a standard room. I realize it was November, the off season, but the rate was very reasonable as well. The view was amazing night and day. The location of my room allowed me to leave the curtains open 24/7. To wake up to that view was amazing and the lights at night were equally relaxing. The room was clean and I wasn't afraid to sit on the furniture. The shower/jacuzzi room was recently renovated and like new. There were two things I would make mention of. First, although the room was magnificently large and spacious and very clean throughout, it was showing a lot of wear and tear. Carpet was in need of replacing and a few wall paper seams were peeling, But even though the carpet was worn I could tell it was clean. Second, I realize I'm the foreigner and I take full responsibility for being illiterate and unable to understand Nihongo. The second morning of my stay there were alarms and bells going off. I was afraid to use the elevator and walked down the eight flights of stairs, after checking first for smoke. Unfortunately no one at the front desk could tell me what was happening. Yes I would stay again, in fact my wife and I are looking into it."

"We had the most wonderful stay from beginning to end! Service was friendly and gracious. The room was beautiful. As was the onsen. And both breakfast and dinner were superb. The front desk alerted the kitchen it was my wife’s birthday the following week and they made us up a lovely little plate of dessert treats to top off our excellent kaiseki. Everyone of the staff we encountered truly went above and beyond. Thank you again. Arigato gozaimasu."

"Not much English spoken (Google translate to the rescue) nor on the menus, first night we went to the dining area but were escorted to the snack bar for some strange reason, WATCH OUT for the stealth “bathing/ hot springs” tax of ¥600 at check-out, even though we didn’t even use the pool or any other facilities (not a word of it when we checked in- hadn’t we been pressed for time to return the car back at Haneda I’d have refused to pay and told them to call the cops but hey…), not even a sachet of coffee in the room, air con kept switching itself on a few minutes after we switched it off."
