NASS Bed & Breakfast

3.0 star property
7.2 out of 10, Good, (5)
"Everything was perfectly fine. The staff didn't speak English, as is common in Ecuador, but using Google Translate worked fine. The property is just around the corner from the Planetario, which was worth the quick trip. It is within a 15-minute walk from the Cathedral. I craved junk food while I was there, and McDonald's is a block away. Good salads. The receptionist told me my room was small and offered another, but it was on the ground floor, so - no stairway. I was just a party of one, so...

Pepe's House Cuenca Hotel & Hostel

3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (14)
"Beds were hard as rocks, even with earplugs we were wakened every night. Our room was tiny (2 twin beds against side walls with 18" between them and maybe 24" between beds and dresser. Room had no ventilation, was musty smelling and humid, nothing would dry, tiny closet area. Parking cost $10 daily for tiny lot across the street, everything was soaked by the time we got into the hotel. Staff is very friendly and courteous, breakfast was ok. Other rooms were much larger, airy, good...

Villa Emilia

3.5 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (8)
"Vila Emilia is a quaint boutique hotel. On my last stay;: - I was made to wait 40 minutes for the eggs for breakfast. - They wouldn't let me leave until they inspected my room as if I was some type of criminal (shame on them). - They have no control of shower water temperature. When everyone is taking a shower in the morning, the water can jump from literally scalding hot to freezing cold in a single minute. I have complained about this detail during each of my two stays here."

Nass Bed & Breakfast

3.5 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (40)
"The full breakfast was a little on the light side, but the variety and presentation was fine. The one thing I didn't like was that the price I had to pay at the desk was $3 higher than the agreed price on Expedia. I wasn't in the mood to quibble, but it's not a good business practice to tack on a few extra dollars at the last minute."
