"Absolutely amazing place. Charming is a great word for it. Very well maintained and immaculately clean. Small but at the same time tons of space. Fully supplied with all amenities. Close to the lake and college. Quaint little town and the Anchor Grille may have the best chicken anywhere. Just a beautiful place to stay and we will definitely be going back again. "

"Needed to get away for a mental health break. This is a lovely property near Rend Lake. The house is well maintained and comfortable. We had a nice, peaceful and relaxed time. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for some time to visit the lake. My only suggestions, would be to add a digital antenna to get the local channels, we wanted to see local news to follow the weather and see some morning shows that we keep up with. "

"Ric was a great host and was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. I was surprised how nice the house is for a hunting cabin. My husband, myself, and 2 dogs stayed at the house, and it was completely setup with everything we needed. The cost of this place is the same as some area rentals that have less space and land. "Four of us stayed here for the eclipse. The place was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a lot larger than I was expecting. The nearby trains can be a little loud, however the host was prepared with earplugs for sleeping and we all slept well. It is an easy walk to downtown and restaurants. I recommend La Fuente, or Joe's Pizza. My only suggestion would be for more comfortable chairs in the living room."
