Furthest waterbus entry to the right when facing the grand canal from the train station. Good central location, best hotel breakfast in Italy. Has a front desk inside, just push the door button to get in."

"I researched for a hotel near Piazza San Marco because my husband cannot walk long distances and much of what we wanted to do was located in the vicinity of the piazza. Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo Was PERFECT. You walked out the non-water side door off reception, went a few steps up a small bridge and once over the bridge were in the piazza! If you made a left out of the door you found yourself in the lovely, tiny streets of Venice and you really could not get lost because you only had to find your way back to the piazza to easily find your way to the hotel. Make sure to take an early morning walk before the influx of tourists for the day - it’s magical! The room was lovely albeit on the smaller side, very clean, and the bathroom was very nicely sized. Overall, the service was excellent. The daily included breakfast was wonderful, with a delightful array of choices. This hotel is part of a group of hotels in Venice, and one nearby hotel also has a delightful restaurant - San Marco Restaurant- where you get 10% off. We ate there and it was excellent. The location is just steps away from the piazza and easy to get to from the piazza. Considering the proximity to the piazza we found that the prices were fair and the food was fresh, delicious and well-portioned. We would stay here again and highly recommend. "

Our room had a wonderful view of the canal. The rooftop had an amazing view and the food was delicious. I would book again without hesitation. "

"A charming Italian characteristic hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Located in a quiet yet convenient location, close to vaporetto service and all essentials. Facility is clean. Although it does not have an elevator. A couple of minor feedback, lights in our room(violet)were very dim, brighter lightbulbs would be helpful. Proving tissue paper in unit would’ve been great. Staff can help with securing Vivaldi concert tickets "
