"Overall the cottage stay was fine. It was clean. The bathroom could definitely use a makeover - everything worked and there was plenty of hot water but it’s old. No extra towels were provided. The kitchen was newly renovated but it’s tiny. There’s a tiny refrigerator and no oven. And there are very few utensils, just the bare minimum. We stayed for three nights and cooked or prepared all of our meals there. The location to the park is very good. And overall it’s a totally acceptable...

"If you’re looking for a place that’s right in the middle of town, this is your place! Walking distance to everything in town. The condo itself is exactly as pictured. Very nice, comfortable beds, and very clean. We would certainly stay here again! "

"Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive."

"We were given an upgrade gratis to the upstairs, large, 2-bed, apartment. Totally equipped with lovely furniture, some antique, some very modern, high-end appliances, cookery and local pottery dish-ware. Modern/eclectic vibe within an old building. Thoughtful details everywhere from desk to gorgeous bath. Clean. Comfy beds. Lush towels. A little noisy due to being right on the street but the large back deck and sofa set are fabulous."

"This was the perfect place to stay for our groups MDI marathon weekend. We were super close to the finish line in Southwest Harbor, which is more peaceful than Bar Harbor. Both BH and SWH have plenty of great restaurants and Bar Harbor is only a 15 minute beautiful drive. "

"I was visiting Acadia for a handful of days; I stayed in Bar Harbor the first couple of nights, and decided to split costs by staying here, a short drive away just off the island, for the rest. "The studio is clean and in a great location to access Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. As described in other reviews, the ceiling is slanted and walls are thin. My husband bumped his head a few times and we could hear children playing in the other units. These two items did not hinder our experience. "

"We are so grateful to have stayed for four nights at Starry Nights on our sea kayaking trip to Mount Desert Island. Extremely clean simple and private apartment on lovely land. Hosts were kind and friendly. Everything was seamless, everything in apartment was in good condition, and just worked.We hope to return next year."

"The included breakfast was so good and highly recommended. There was an electrical outlet in the bathroom that didn’t work. Also, not sure if it was us, but we couldn’t get the door to lock. However, for the location, cleanliness. We would stay here again. I might recommend a bigger refrigerator since we did have leftovers and they didn’t always fit in the fridge. "

"We had a nice stay in Bar Harbor. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The kitchen had everything we needed, though a few extras like wine glasses and some basic spices would have been a nice touch. The outside area wasn't quite as appealing as the inside, but overall, we enjoyed our stay."
