"enjoyed our stay, we were in the loft room, ok but steep stairs at top floor. the room had all you needed for a self catering stay if you wanted. we opted for breakfast. Breakfast was perfect, one of the nicest cooked breakfasts i have had in a long while. the service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. good location, i would stay here again no problem. only small thing was there was no hook on back of bathroom door for clothes, this is always guest houses forget, just a little thing but...

"The Bootham Tavern was a very good location for the city. The Staff were lovely and polite. The Breakfast was a bargain. Only downside was the radiator in the bathroom was constantly on with no thermostat to turn it off and the summer temp was 20 plus degrees outside so difficult to sleep as it was boiling in the room. Other than that we enjoyed our stay"

"Jamie was most helpful, close to York racecourse and plenty of shops close by. Nice pub, The Volunteer 2 minutes round the corner. Only downside was the shower, nothing wrong with the shower itself but the floor was slippy and could do with a mat as I did slip over, luckily no damage but someone could have a nasty accident."

"Located behind the pub, our room was simple, and just what we needed for a place to crash while visiting the town of York. Driving distance to the local attractions and walking distance to groceries, restaurants, pubs, and more. "

"We had a Triple room on the top floor, the room was huge, lovely Hypnos bed and views all around from the large window. The hosts were excellent and as we were there for a University visit they gave us the directions and printed off a map for us. The breakfast were ;lovely and overall, if our daughter goes to York Uni, we will be staying at this B&B when we travel up"

"Nice clean, well presented property in a lovely area, and a very pleasant & friendly lady manager who checked us in. The only let down was the selfish behaviour from the room next door, who clearly didn’t give a damn about who they disturbed at all hours of the night and the mess they left in the shared kitchen."

"No good so not a B&B. Requested 1st for got 3rd no elevator. Front office very nice said we had a maze to get to room but steps were not that bad. Cleaning was great all things worked. Bed not soft good! Big problem was no food. 😒"

"Owners of the property make you feel very comfortable and at ease. We stayed in the self-catering apartment but had an amazing breakfast each day. You can come and go without worrying about disturbing anyone. Very clean and comfortable accommodation of high standard. Will definitely be back. "

"Very clean and a great kitchen area to make dinner. The place is about 15 mins from the M62. Breakfast is cereal and juices, toast etc. So not cooked but presumably you could use the hob etc . A comfortable stay and a good barn conversion building."

"We had a an enjoyable stay at Field View. Maria was very accommodating and helpful. The room was comfortable, the facilities were good and a wide range of food for breakfast. The local pub was a 5 minutes walk away which had a friendly atmosphere. Would definitely come back again to Field View."
