"Unit was inexpensive and value for money. The hotel is kept very neat and clean, and the mattresses are very comfortable. Showers and bathrooms are cleaned regularly and kept in good shape. It isn't that central for touring for Osaka, but not too far out of the way. "

"Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming."

First room was noisy as it was on the main road but the window didn't seem to close properly or offer sufficient sound proofing. "

"Beautiful property designed for a good refresh. So glad I stayed here and took advantage of the bath with a garden view. Staff was extremely helpful; my credit card got frauded and I had to get a replacement. The staff was extremely helpful in navigating the postal system for me. Quiet neighbourhood near the Imperial palace with beautiful parks and a nice break from the chaos of other tourist areas."

Only slight downside is outdated bathroom, and there is only an AC unit on the wall which isn’t very powerful so the room is quite stuffy at night (in here in September so it’s hot & humid)."

The staff offers you a book with recommendations such as dining and sight seeing attractions as well as how to get there by bus or transit. The ryokan also offers breakfast and other services for a fee, but the breakfast we had was amazing. They also have a bath you can rent for the hour which was a life saver after walking all day. "We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very nice. We had a couple of issues with the room but they fixed them quickly. We are a family of 4 and found the bed space ok but it would've been better to have a bunk bed instead of the 2 singles because one of the singles had to be used as seating for the dining table.
