"Great place to stay"

"Staff was very hospitable and greeted all their guests like family. They gave you a property tour of your room and ensured you understood all amenities on property. There is a public bath with an electric bath, soda bath and medicine bath that was amazing after a days tour. Fantastic! Please go for the four seasons. You have your own private garden and a larger space. Staff will prepare your futons on tatamis. This is a townhouse so you will hear a bit of footsteps above. ...

"Service was excellent, rooms and facilities were kept clean. Didn't need to wait to use the facilities. Basic and small but excellent location and friendly helpful staff! First room was noisy as it was on the main road but the window didn't seem to close properly or offer sufficient sound proofing. "

"Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming."

"Quick check-in and they were very lenient with our check-in time. Ability to leave our bags at the hotel on the last day between our check out time and flight was a nice amenity. The futons were not very comfortable."

"Very traditional ryokan and very clean. The rooms were a decent size and the area was quiet. The staff offers you a book with recommendations such as dining and sight seeing attractions as well as how to get there by bus or transit. The ryokan also offers breakfast and other services for a fee, but the breakfast we had was amazing. They also have a bath you can rent for the hour which was a life saver after walking all day. "We stayed in a 4-beds room, all furniture is in good condition. The setting is same as shown. The room has some spaces to open up 2 large suitcases. The washroom and shower room are separate, and towels are provided. I will suggest to add some hooks in the shower room for handing the towels."

"I don’t think it’s good value. The hotel has no lobby for guests to even sit to put shoes on and space at the hotel entrance is very cramped, narrow and crowded for even one person to walk through with any baggage. Owner only offered one tea bag a day for a two persons room. I will not consider coming back again in the future."
