Shitterton is a lovely quiet hamlet with lovely period, thatched cottages.Most of our time was spent in the cosy, spacious living room with a fire roaring away. "What a find! A real home from home property, with everything you could wish for in a holiday let. Pictures on site are accurate, we asked for the twin beds to be fixed together to create a larger space, such luxury! Loved the feather duvet… The hosts were very welcoming and made suggestions for walks, trips and restaurants. A joy to stay in the fold yard and see the ponies in the paddocks. "I booked the cottage for family members visiting over Christmas and was delighted w my choice. The house itself is beautifully appointed and has been sympathetically extended. It was a pleasure to welcome my travel weary relatives into such a warm and restful space. Everything went smoothly from the minute I contacted the host through the cpl of amendments made and then the key pickup. A good sized cottage with a beautiful garden leading out onto a recreation ground which was ideal for the children and walking the dogs. "Fabulous stay, gorgeous barn, great location, very cosy would highly recommend. One small thing the bedrooms could do with having blinds as it’s very light in there especially if you’ve got young children"

"Description on site said slow cooker provided..but alas after owner chased this was an error ..we had planned many meals around using one... brought one! Couldn't find the rubbish bins as described behind the cottage..they were not there. Comfy beds..great position near beach and High Street. Very reasonable re cost."

"Good communication in advance of arrival, though more clarity on parking may have helped. Unit next to ours had a very loud barking dog which woke us up on a Sunday at 7am unfortunately… and triggered our dog to bark. The walls are quite thin for noise to travel in/out. Aside from that, it was a really great studio with all one would need! It is on a working farm but whilst that means potential activity outside the door, it also means great green-space and farm animals to enjoy as well!!"
