"Well located for Dumfries house only 7 minutes this is by Far the best hotel in the village with a good restaurant and bar. Even though there was a wedding during our stay we heard nothing and had an excellent night's sleep"

"Going back decades, my late mother was Head Cook at Western House - so it was a bit of a pilgrimage .. and yes, a privilege to return as a hotel guest when I happened to be back in Ayr. A delightful room on the edge of but very close to the centre of town and situated on the side of Ayr Racecourse. In every way, the place ticks the boxes, offers impressive value for money - and full marks to the kitchen and dining room staff: the cuisine is fresh, prepared and presented with care - and, all in all, top notch 👍"
