"This is an old hotel, which does need some tlc, however, the receptionist told me the rooms are nearly finished a refurb and whats been done so far is lovely. Our executive double was large, warm and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was served fresh, hot and good quality. Great location. Shame its £9 a night to park but as the accommodation is so reasonable we didnt mind. Much better than many other sheffield hotels."

"It's a very old hotel, so lots of features. Some people might think it's dated but that's part of the charm. Corridors etc. need an update although this is a massive task. However, our bedroom was lovely as was the ensuite, it was warm, clean, very comfortable beds, traditionally furnished & well decorated. All the public rooms were comfortable & well presented. We returned from an event at c10:30pm to an empty bar and had to ring the bell for service.
