"We had the most amazing stay at Askót Cottages. The location of the property was perfect when exploring the south of Iceland and the Golden Circle by car. We were even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights 2 nights whilst at the property!"

"We loved our stay at Sea side cottage. We stayed for 4 nights at the end of March. The property was in lovely surroundings and is very well presented warm and cosy. The kitchen had all we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable and warm. Excellent communication from our host with clear directions to the house and a thoughtful guidebook in the property. It’s worth being aware that the bathroom is down a very steep shallow set of steps and might be tricky for small children or if you have...

"So this place was a good place to stay as we start our drive around the country. It's in the middle of nowhere (by beach though) but not scenic. The room is comfortable and clean. It's really quiet. The only downside is there was very limited hot water. My wife used it all up in a not very long shower. "

"This was a *wonderful* home to stay in for our time in Iceland. It was a hub for lots of great day trips, but there was plenty to do in the house as well -- lots of great games, a beautiful kitchen to cook and eat in, and views galore. We didn't have time to use the hot tub, but I imagine that would also have been delightful!"

"I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. "

"Loved staying here. We only had one unplanned surprise. We may have missed this in the listing but the instructions ask you to take all your trash with you. We drove hours with our son holding a full bag of trash until we found a place to dispose of it. We actually named our bag since he travelled with us for so long. Other than our bag of trash, it was a nice stay."

"The room was not cleaned, old towels were hanging, there was no linen in one of the beds. We booked for 10 people, but there were actually 8 seats. The staff was arrogant, no one helped.The location was close to the beach, 10 minutes walk, but the house was somewhere behind the warehouse."

"It was a very nice cottage in a great location. It is definitely small house living but was plenty big enough for my wife and I. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was in very good condition. The living area was well windowed and the views were spectacular. Very peaceful and serene, but not too far from a bunch of really good eating places as well as Selfoss, which was a much larger town than I expected."

"We went in winter time and loved the view from the house, shelling the beach, a soak in the hot tub with kids. It was a great midpoint between Reykjavík and Vik for all of your Southern Iceland / Golden Circle adventures. Would absolutely recommend! "

"One of the best accommodations we have in our trip. Place was really clean inside and 2 large lobby room served as a way for us to play games and eat food with while family. Best part is we were the only ones for the 3 nights we stayed. Highly recommend this place for big family. "

"This property is amazing. Hannah greeted us at check-in and showed us around the property and to our room. We took advantage of their onsite restaurant, Varma, it was fabulous. The hot springs right outside our rooms were a welcomed oasis after days of traveling. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"I loved my stay at the Greenhouse Hotel! It was such a cute and aesthetically pleasing place—every corner felt thoughtfully designed and cozy. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Parking was super convenient, which made things even easier. One of the best parts was the food hall connected to the hotel—so many great options right at your fingertips. Would definitely stay here again!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Heima Holiday Homes. The property was beautiful and modern, with everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable—even the sofa bed! Our only wish was for a microwave. Unfortunately, it rained throughout our stay, so we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights. However, I can tell that on a clear night, this would be the perfect place to watch them. One of the highlights of our visit was being warmly greeted by their lovely dogs, Moi and Katla, every morning and whenever we arrived. It made our stay even more special! 💖"
