"We had a friendly welcome from Tess, were given our keys to our room. We had room 2 which was a decent size with lovely fleece bedding. The shower was perfect, could do with a shelf for shower gel etc and a few hooks for clothes/ towels. We didn't have breakfast. It's a 15 minute stroll to the town centre with lovely views on route , would definitely recommend. "

"Excellent attentive service from the owner Joe at all times nothing was too much trouble and a few minor issues were rectified immediately to our full satisfaction Would highly recommend The Meltham Guest House if you are looking to stay adjacent to the North Bay close to all the attactions that it has to offer Will definitely be staying again and myself and Jeff would personally like to wish Joe every success for the future Many thanks for a perfect stay between Christmas 2024 and New Year "

"Decent enough place to stay. Showing it's age in places but overall clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Easy to check in, and I set off early the following morning - leaving the keys in the box in the hallway. Very convenient for the town centre and seafront if you don't mind a few minutes walk. Variety of restaurants nearby, even before you reach the town centre."

"This is a fantastic hotel which me and my wife would thoroughly recommend. Owner Jill could not have been more helpful, with a room upgrade. Cooked Breakfast was hot, and the fruit selection first class. You would find some of the other hotels more expensive and offer you a lot less. This hotel was first class all the way."

"Many thanks for your awesome hospitality! I found everything i was looking for & more: a friendly helpful landlady, a very comfy spotless room with beautiful charming decor & a 24/7 sea view from my window. This singular is spacious enough for my yoga mat. There are Cooplans and another lovely bakery shop in very close proximity. 10 min walking to the town center, 5 descending to the North Bay. How about sitting in your comfy chair with a cuppa watching regatta withing sunset?"

"It is a period property with friendly & welcoming hosts. The full English breakfast is cooked to order from local produce. Which is amazing. Perfect to stay and relax and enjoy Scarborough harbour and beach. "

"Just the best stay.Hosts Tony and Paula were phenomenal.Attention to detail was second to none.Food was delicious.Room was inviting,comfortable and well equipped,everything had been carefully thought out.Bathroom(as was the whole hotel) was spotless and well maintained with just the best shower.Tony and Paula you are the best.Thank you for welcoming me into your beautiful Home.The only downside....having to leave!hope to see you and Scarborough soon,you are all very special.x"

"Perfect location next to the pub which does fantastic food. Very high end cottage in both style & comfort, very clean too & having a courtyard for the dogs was great as we could sit outside with them. Would definitely stay again. "
