It is a little outdated compared to a city hotel but this resort is perfect for a rural town. We throughly enjoyed our stay. "

"The Carrington is walking distance from the train and close to everything in Kootomba. The hotel is historic, which means old and needs a bit of a facelift. Some of the staff was outstanding like Shelia, others were just ok. We enjoyed the adjoining restaurant with great food and live music. We even had walked around Scienic World. Overall a good stay 3 Star property that’s very well located. "

"An old house with large rooms and a garden, good to have a bath and traditional shower. No housekeeping but not needed for three nights and in fact easier not to have to bother. Interesting arrival with guided tour on the mobile phone, we did not see any staff during our stay. Nice bar and sitting room which is not working at present but good to sit with your own food and drink (glasses and plates provided)"

The living area is large, bright and breezy with the kitchen well stocked with essential utensils to make the most of the best stove range, with the cleanup made easy via a dishwasher. The bed is cofortable, the bathroom has underfloor heating. The little things were also catered for, with shaver/sewing kit. I couldn't think of anything that was lacking"
