Great location right in the heart of Katoomba shopping and restaurant district. Easy walk from train station. Buses to echo point are a 2 min short walk away. You can also walk to echo point (30mins). YHA rooms are clean. Building and facilities are a little dated and could do with a upgrade.

Average hostel in a gorgeous historic building
Reasonably priced and very central. Good breakfast, but extortionately priced by student standards ($12 I think). I couldn’t afford it so brought some small groceries from the supermarket. Staff were friendly, but a bit checked out. Could definitely use a deep cleaning as they smell like a locker room. Bathrooms were reasonably clean.

Very, very clean. Staff were all helpful and lovely. The building has a few little things that show its age, however you expect that with the age of the building. I felt warm, clean and safe during my stay. Would definitely return.
