"The property is in the heart of York, the staff is incredibly helpful and nice, Bella is the best. There are few thing that I didn’t like:, the color of the walls is black, and makes the room look smaller and gloomy, the shower is very dangerous, there is a big step to do to go in and out, and the bottom of it it’s extremely slippery, I risked my life every night and also it doesn’t have a surface where you can put the soap or the shampoo on it, so it is very uncomfortable. But other than that...

"Great historic property smack dab in the middle of York. There's a lovely pub on the first floor, so it really does feel like you're staying at inn from days of yore. We loved this about the place. Others might like it less. Personal preference. Breakfast was really good, so be sure to get that if you stay here. "

"The food was excellent and the Chef is to be congratulated. However finding that half of the exterior greenery is growing inside your bedroom and not through an open window proves the wood work needs attention as it was chilly. The en-suit is certainly in need of an upgrade."
