"This was a great find in N.Yorks , a quiet village in the Yorkshire Wolds and a good base to head out from for the coast or nearby Malton. The hotel had a great selection of Gin and Champagne. Champagne in a hot tub what could be better.. we took home some lasting memories...and a thirst for more Champagne 😁 Must not forget the food...if only my belly was bigger 😋 Thank you Karl, Julia for being great hosts!"

Furnished in keeping with the age and style of an old pub but all very clean. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have a larger and more comfortable bed. It is ideally situated just off the Cleveland Way to walk into Whitby, a flat walk approx 45-50 minutes or to Robin Hoods Bay a more undulating walk approx 2.5 hours, both with fantastic views.
