"Right in the middle of town, close to all amenities, nice and quiet. "

"Stayed in the courtyard area, had lovely views over the fields at the back. The room itself was a good size, comfortable bed and storage facilities were all of a good standard, just the bathroom needed a little updating as a bit tired. The breakfast was very good (perfect poached eggs) also had our dinner there a couple of times and the food again was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just 3 miles from Durham City Centre and surrounded by some stunning scenery . Would definitely stay here again if we were venturing up that way."

"Throughly enjoyed stay room small but adequate.. Very clean and although quite noisy been above pub notva issue with sleeping .. Girl on reception went out her way look after us fantastic service ,Throughly recommended staying ere lovely little place ideal for Durham city centre at budget price "

"It was an amazing stay, staff lovely and helpful, food was great in restaurant, rooms were really nice too, only negative would be bathroom! Tiles broken on floor where toilet is and window need a blind or curtain as tge frosted stickers are peeling off and people can see into bathroom! However this did not take away from an amazing stay. Anyone using pool should probably be made aware pre visit that you need a padlock for lockers also."

"This is a lovely hotel. Lots of space and fabulous views of the local countryside. The rooms are boutique style and the bed was comfy. Quite a basic breakfast but everything was good quality and hot. I will definitely return in the summer to enjoy the bar's outside space"

"Ample free parking. The park & ride site is 10 minutes walk away, getting you in to Durham in 10 minutes for a £2.20 day ticket. Luxurious quiet room, tea/coffee making facilities & separate bath & shower. Really good spa treatment & relaxation room with water beds & massage loungers. Well equipped gym, 25m pool with 5 lanes, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi. More facilities available if you are on a spa break. Special thanks to Chloe on spa reception who was really helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and calm under pressure even when large groups arrived simultaneously!"
