"If you're looking for a ritzy hotel In the middle of the city, this is not your place. This unique property is a working olive orchard in a quiet peaceful countryside setting. The property sits up on top of the hill with incredible views of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Our cottage was at the end of a winding drive through Olive trees. Amazing! There was a local town only 10 minutes away with everything that you would need and Florence was only a bit farther, so an easy drive from our cottage. Our cottage had two bedrooms one with a loft, a family room and a kitchen / eating area. The cottage fit the setting and the inside had unique finishes like old timbers and stone. I slept like a baby in our king size bed. Kitchen was supplied with dishes and cookware so several nights we just bought groceries at the local grocery store and ate there. At night I could see the lights of Florence flickering out the kitchen window. Cottage was older construction and had some little quirks but they just added to the experience. We originally booked this hotel for only one night but loved it so much we extended our stay three more nights. Not very often are you sad when you leave a hotel but when we pulled out on our last day I felt like we were moving from a home that we grew up in. Love love loved this place! "

"Albergo Celide is a lovely place to spend your Lucca vacation. It's comfortable and quite with wonderful breakfast and nice spa. It's moments away by foot from the entrance to the walled city. Anna was delightful and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She even booked two dinner reservations for us. "

"We enjoyed a fantastic stay at this property. Alessandro at the front desk was so incredibly helpful by providing information regarding the (very close) location of the tram and which stop to get off at (San Marco Square) to visit all of historic Florence by foot. He also made superb restaurant recommendations and shared the location for the best gelato in Italy! Alessandro clearly enjoys his job and takes guest experience personally. Carmen is the lovely manager of the property, and when we asked if it was possible to switch to a quieter room (away from the street), she immediately offered not only a quieter room but also arranged for a sweet upgrade to a room on the top floor with a more modern bathroom, balcony and a refrigerator. Levy, who manages the dining room, puts out a beautiful breakfast buffet and Manuele was very helpful at checkout. We chose this property for its free and (gated) secure parking but got so, so much more via the care and attention we received from the team there. The tram into Florence city center is only one block from the hotel and costs less than four euros. There is also a clean and easy to use self-service laundromat less than a half block away. We were genuinely impressed with the property and especially with the people. We are very happy with our choice to stay (3 nights) at this hotel in Florence. "

"We arrived and the front desk manager was very friendly and helpful. He asked us what language we preferred to speak, as he was multi- lingual. He explained everything well, and the room was comfortable and modern. The front desk staff assisted us several times with calling a taxi. The buffet breakfast had a nice selection as well."
