"Lovely relaxing stay for my birthday. Thank you to the staff for making us feel special. The staff were all welcoming and friendly from when we checked in at reception with Katie, to the receptionist at the leisure centre and the staff serving breakfast. Room was lovely and clean. The bottle of water in the room was a nice touch. Stunning grounds around the hotel. Enjoyed breakfast Pool was a good size for swimming and stayed open to a decent time, which we appreciated arriving late afternoon. We would return. "

"Had a lovely stay with my partner and our dog. The scenic view room was massive and worth paying the extra for. The breakfast buffet was good with all needs catered for. The hotel is extremely dog friendly with dogs being allowed in the bar area. The singer for entertainment was also very good. Only negative is some of the building is looking a little run down but there were signs of maintenance taking place e.g. painting. We loved our stay and would return. "

"Lovely welcome at Reception on arrival, we were upgraded to newly refurbished rooms. What a treat! comfortable spotless room. Comfy beds, large smart TV, lovely toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, great choice of hot food from the buffet and lots of fruit, cereal, yogurt etc. The staff are a credit to the hotel, helpful, professional and clearly work very hard. Thanks for a great stay. Definitely will return. "

"Really enjoyed our two-night stay in one of the turret suites. The hotel was still beautifully decorated for Christmas but very peaceful being a few days after Hogmanay. Overall condition of the building is excellent, especially given its age and historic nature, which must make it a real challenge to maintain. Our room, bathroom and the turret lounge above were very clean and well presented. Excellent comfy super-king bed. Public rooms were lovely - warm and welcoming. Swimming pool area was very clean and a pleasure to use."

"Loved everything about the property. Staff were amazing , they were welcoming, warm, friendly and made every effort to make your stay a positive experience. The room we occupied was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty draw space to put your clothes into, but no hanging space. That said with the angles of the walls and the eaves of the room meant there was no place to actually fit a wardrobe for this purpose, so without major renovation to the room, this was beyond the hotels control. The only other minor point is that there was no toilet brush in the bathroom, but this by no means had any impact on our stay !"
