"There was always something to do here, whether swimming in the ocean which was more calm than a lake, or in the pool or playing basketball or in the backyard player with sand. There were also so many toys! Our kids range from 3-11 and it was an amazing stay for all. As a mother to so many hungry people it meant a lot to me that when we arrived on Saturday evening so many grocery staples (and extras) were waiting for us! How relaxing to not have to wake up and worry about how or where to find...

"This villa had the most astounding views! Perched above a rocky outcrop, the sunsets every night were a delight. The expanse of the sea below was magical. The Villa was exactly as described in the listing and Giorgios and Penelope could not have been more welcoming. Their communication with us was faultless and they connected us with a wonderful man named Christos who helped us arrange activities and a chef during our stay. We would most certainly return!"

"Just back from a wonderful holiday in this beautiful villa. Our first visit to Crete and it did not disappoint. The villa is a 30 min drive from Chania airport. Directions to the property were easy as were the instructions to let ourselves in. The villa itself is amazing and the photos do not do it justice. The house is spacious with large bedrooms which are all en suite. Each room has its own balcony which boasts incredible views and the seating on these make the perfect spot for cocktails...

"the villa was clean and tidy, the layout is good with one bedroom on the ground floor. nice roof terrace. great sea views from the bedroon balcony. pool was a good size shared with 4 other villas but hardly anyone used it so like your own pool you need a car but the main town is a ten minute drive with some nice tavernas. recommended a few trips to rethymno just a 20 min drive but the old town is brilliant. definitely will use this villa again."

"Our 2nd stop on this trip to Greece, was Almyrida at Villa Varvara. Outstanding clean private local and accessible. We found it to be a great base for exploring the west side of Crete. the local shops and eateries near the property were just what we wanted small local excellent fare. "First of all, the villa was just beautiful, clean and perfect for our large group of friends and young kids. It had everything, very comfortable, clean and was perfect for the kids (aged 3 to 7 months old). Second, our host Mano - WHAT A HOST!!! He made the trip even better, he really looked after us and was so accommodating and helpful. I couldn't recommend him and his Villa more!! I am defo coming back next year!! Thanks Mano!! "

"House was clean with breathtaking views as advertised! Was not prepared for steep hill access to villa. Took a few trips to be comfortable with the drive; recommend a SUB rental.Communication with owner and house manager was on point. Owner provided detailed directions, as per location and surrounding areas. However, still have to be careful with GPS directions as it can take you areas that are not suitable for tourist driving. We had a wonderful family trip, and would recommend Villa Cassandra!"

"We all had a wonderful time on our family vacation. The house was very comfortable and clean. The outdoor spaces of this villa are beautiful beyond words. The owners of the home were very nice and welcoming! Katrina even gifted us a few of her pictures which she painted. There are three tavernas within walking distance. They were also awesome! We definitely recommend this experience! Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"The house was fantastic, we hung by the pool, had barbecues, visited a winery. The views from the house were gorgeous , mountains on one side and ocean on the other. We appreciated restaurant recommendations, and had some wonderful family dinners. We high recommend this villa, we have great memories to take home"

"Villa is lovely - spacious, nicely decorated and has all you need. The outside space is excellent and the views from inside and outside are incredible. 10 minute walk to the lake with great shops and restaurants and 10-15 minute drive to some lovely beaches. Sofia is a great host and was quick to reply to all messages from booking to the end of our stay. Really can't fault a thing and would recommend to anyone. We can't wait to retutn!"

"Well, the positives are always first. The villa was just as pictured in Vrbo. It was nestled in the hills and was very private and secluded. The 4 bedrooms/baths were separated into 2 identical halves on each side of villa which is nice to have privacy between guests/children. The pool was private and always clean. "This was a lovely property which was located ideally for us as a larger group with a car. It was clean and comfortable and if there was anything we felt was missing, Andrie, the host, immediately went out of her way to provide it. On one of the days my husband became unwell with a stomach bug and Andrie was amazing in terms of going to the pharmacy for us to obtain medications and electrolytes. "The property is very well appointed and is big enough for a family of 10 to fit in very comfortably. There are just a few points to mention, you will need a car if staying at this villa as the local town is a good 20-30 minute walk away. "Property was clean, modern, and safe with nice view of water. Welcome beverage was an unexpected treat. Warm breakfast buffet was good. My only complaint would be the limited parking with no signage. The congested area is very convenient to the waterfront dining. Great hotel despite limited parrking. "

"George the the bellhop was extremely helpful , friendly, and gave us some recommendations on our route to see a few of the closest beaches. The hotels in a great location close to the port with plenty of really good food. Options parking was very convenient and breakfast was really delicious. Would stay again."

"The hotel itself is lovely and has beautiful amenities. The transport every 30 minutes to downtown Chania is a wonderful add-on, and the front desk people were all professional and had amazing service. My partner stayed here last year and this year again, and likely we will be staying next year "

"Location of sublime! Tons of restaurants nearby, really good ones too. Lots of shopping as well. Breakfast buffet was very impressive, top quality and exceptional. My only issue was that the room was very small and more suitable for one person, not two. Otherwise, an excellent option. Private parking as well which we appreciated."
