"The location of the Cottage is 5* easy walking distance to the Jorvik, York museum, Shambles, river cruise and lots of restaurants and pubs. York Minster is also nearby. "We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "

"A gem of a cottage which had been restored to a really high standard. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, log burner with plenty of wood and loved all the decor/pictures throughout. A welcome basket with local goodies was also a nice touch. We loved the folder full of the history on the property and all the pictures of the other houses/buildings in the village which we went to find on our walks with our dog. Would highly recommend. "

"A nice very clean and modern property to relax in after visiting one of the many interesting areas within easy driving. There’s a couple of nice pubs within 5 minutes drive."

"On arrival, we found food from previous guests in the bread bin, the kitchen utensils and the kitchen cupboards were dirty. On leaving, we found underwear from a previous guest under one of the children's beds. One of the double beds was clearly broken and had a massive dip in one side. Outdoor furniture tired and tatty. I wanted to love this little house with its medieval quirks but it was way below standard for the price. "
