"The Belmond exceeds expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted and cleansed of any concern. The staff pays attention to detail, accommodating any request. The property is historical and meaningful, encouraging relaxation and a connection with nature. All facilities are within comfortable walking distance and easily accessible. The Belmond, at its best, offers an exceptional breakfast experience-something to look forward to and reminisce. The pool complements the hotels beauty, alongside the animals, who are familiar with the property and curious. However, one improvement the Belmond should consider-the dinner experience at IPE (the smaller restaurant, poolside) did not meet expectations. While the food is amazing, the service was not consistent. Otherwise, excellent destination and a memorable experience. "The food at the in house restaurant was surprisingly good, a good assortment at the complimentary breakfast but it was the staff working there who were outstanding!!! The price of the accommodations does not reflect the value. We stayed for 12 nights and will gladly return on our next visit to Port Alegre."
