"This was the perfect place to stay for our groups MDI marathon weekend. We were super close to the finish line in Southwest Harbor, which is more peaceful than Bar Harbor. Both BH and SWH have plenty of great restaurants and Bar Harbor is only a 15 minute beautiful drive. "

"Overall the cottage stay was fine. It was clean. The bathroom could definitely use a makeover - everything worked and there was plenty of hot water but it’s old. No extra towels were provided. The kitchen was newly renovated but it’s tiny. There’s a tiny refrigerator and no oven. And there are very few utensils, just the bare minimum. "Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive."

"We loved staying here at this cozy waterfront property. It was spacious and with a functional kitchen which was a plus! The location, although a bit away from Acadia, offered an escape from the busy-ness of Bar Harbor. The surroundings are serene with a lake just upfront. Overall a good experience. Just be prepared to check out on the dot at 10.00AM to make way for the cleaners."

The kitchen had everything we needed, though a few extras like wine glasses and some basic spices would have been a nice touch. "This was one of the best maintained and cared for rentals we've been to. It is clearly taken care of well. The hosts communicated well and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a comfortable stay, and we'd stay here again with no concerns. The place is close to plenty of restaurants and is a less than half hr drive to bar harbor. The pond with ducks was an added fun thing to look forward to when getting going for the day. "

"This new apartment was the perfect size for the two of us. It was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need. We had a great view looking out the kitchen window and enjoyed watching the deer in the morning and evening in the back yard. We also liked having outdoor access to the basement for our bikes. "Decent place to stay if you are visiting Bar Harbor, etc. Apartment itself is nice enough and there's a great Sri Lankan restaurant just across the road. Contact with the management company was very good and they responded quickly. Only issue is that the bed is small and the mattress not very good so you 'rolled together' quite a lot. The room it's in is a decent size so could definitely take a bigger bed"

"The cottage was cute and well equipped. At first as we were driving there it seemed so far off the beaten path. As we ventured out the next day to Acadia National park we realized we weren’t that far away. It was about a 45 min drive. We do like to watch a little tv before bed; so, if you want a tv, there is no tv. We listened to our music. It was a little too cold to sit outside to do any star gazing. The view of the sunrise over Cadillac mountain was beautiful!"
