"A terrific place to stay near the Black Sand Beach and other local sites. It was very quiet, the room was large and very clean, and breakfast was great. "The Garage is our favorite lodging during our 15-day trip to Iceland. The property is very well-appointed with all the amenities we need. The surroundings of this property are insanely beautiful with a majestic waterfall behind the apartment we stayed and the bay in the front. We hiked up to the waterfall twice during our 1-night stay to enjoy the different sceneries at night and in the morning. We arrived on 6/17, the national holiday of Iceland, and were fortunate to have a fruit cake baked by the owner to celebrate. It was super delicious. Did I mention the two playful dogs and a cute cat? They are lovely! Definitely a fantastic and indelible stay!"
