"Lovely house in a brilliant location, close enough to walk to attractions yet quiet. We loved the conservatory- kept beautifully warm by the kitchen range, though cooking with the range was tricky and we didn’t discover the microwave until the final day! Clean and functional, daughter loved the attic room and en-suite! Thank you for a good stay"

"Really lovely apartment just outside the city walls. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable and with everything you need for a great stay. Little extras including, sourdough bread, butter, preserves, milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, cereals, chocolate , wine and a treat from Betty's all made it feel really special and that you are very welcome. Communication before arrival was great, as was check in when we were helped with our bags down the steps and shown around. Anita (our host) was on holiday...

The location was fab for easy access to the city on foot (we parked the car outside the house and didn't use it again until the drive home!), and the parking permit made it all very easy. "Booked Brook Hall for a stag weekend of 12 guys, which Edward was happy to accommodate. It was a fantastic base while we spent most of our time out and about in York (20 - 30 minutes away) and Leeds (30 - 40 minutes away). Thanks for the recommendation of Dougies taxis as well, this was really helpful and they were great with really friendly drivers. Lovely location and house, particularly the garden. "We cannot fault our stay, we had a lovely time and location was excellent, we walked to everything within minutes, apart from the railway museum, when we caught the land train from the Minster. The house was lovely and having the outside space was a real bonus as at the end of the week it was warmer and we had coffee out there. We liked the snug and spent a couple of the evenings watching films . We will definitely be bck in York as it was our first trip there and would like to come back in...
