"I love the area surrounding the Prince Rupert! I have visited Shrewsbury many times but this was my first stay here. I highly recommend the Prince Rupert. You are welcomed warmly by the staff. "We and a group of friends enjoyed a one night stay at the Feathers in February 2025. We occupied room 216 which overlooks the high st. The room was on the small side but was comfortably furnished and the bathroom was a good size and had been recently refurbished and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and we were able to sleep with the window open. The common areas of the hotel are attractive and there is a cozy lounge and bar. Breakfast was good. We did have to wait 45+ minutes for our cooked breakfast to arrive but the manager did not charge us for it so no complaints Ludlow is lovely. Excellent independent shops, pubs restaurants and markets "

"Tucked away just off the busy Wyle Cop and therefore instantly accessible to the wonderful offerings of Shrewsbury, Darwin's Townhouse is comfortable, clean and quiet. And when I say comfortable, the bed is great, had a brilliant night's sleep. We didn't stay for breakfast so I can't comment on that, but have heard good things so we'll save that for next time!"
