"The Nyton is an older property, and has all the problems that come with that. Our host was very amenable, and the food was A1. Our room was big enough and the bed was very comfortable. The garden is large and there are several animal visitors to watch for. Fine for a stopover or short stay. "

"Check in and check out were no problems. Followed the instructions that were sent to email on the day of registration. Location - the center is 10 minutes walk away, paid parking is 3 minutes away 20 pounds per day, free on Sunday. Communication - I used email, the answer was immediate. Of the minuses, do not forget to make a deposit (it is clear why)."

"Doesn’t look great from the outside but fine inside as long as you’re not in one of the “upper floor” rooms of this dormer bungalow type house. Low sloped ceilings. Not ideal for a tall person. Facilities very good, plenty of equipment in the kitchen and a nice sun room were you can eat your meals."

"This was basic accommodations with friendly service. The property is dated rough around the edges, but was very competitively priced. It was a pleasant walk to downtown. We would probably stay again but can’t give it high marks aside from value and location. "

"Comfortable cabins, and a fantastic home cooked breakfast. Yes, the drive is a bit potholed, but the welcome is second to none. I had a home cooked evening meal, which the host will provide for a reasonable cost. It is lovely to be out in the countryside - and I felt totally at home. Unfortunately I experienced a flat tire whilst there (a really old tire went pop) and the host was so kind - he sorted me out with a replacement tyre to keep me on the road for my meetings. "A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay! The bird show (included in price) was good and the staff extremely knowledgeable - the self contained rooms were very clean & comfortable and having a kitchenette with fridge/toaster etc was perfect, the en-suite shower room was large & again very clean - highly recommend a stay here!"

"Great location! About a 5-10 minute walk to everything in Cambridge. The biggest pain is how bad the traffic is getting to the hotel and really only having the option for valet parking. But it was a wonderful stay. The staff was top notch as were all the facilities. Another guest had room service and left their tray in the hall for what seemed like a very long time. But other wise it was great!"

Fabulous hotel

"Luca the manager and all front desk staff were excellent, really helpful and welcoming. The late night bar staff were difficult to find and perhaps need more training. My husband asked for a glass of Gavi (white wine which we had had in the restaurant) the member of staff didn’t know what it was and pointed to the spirits and the champagne questioningly. Then my husband asked for a cup of coffee and there was was only oat milk to go with it. So we decided to call it a night. Hotel is ideally placed for exploring the wonderful city of Cambridge. The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the food in the restaurant was fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend "
