"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Umaya Beach resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. It was a very calm, quiet, and relaxing stay which is what we were seeking. Enjoyed the use of kayaks and paddleboards. Staff arranged excursions and transport to and from the airport as well as a daily shuttle into Placencia. Everything we were looking for in a vacation!"

"Clement, the owner of the property, was very kind and helpful. The room was simple but clean. A great value. Nice location right on the ocean and near a beautiful river. A water machine to refill your water bottle was available with nice cold drinking water. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in Dangriga. "

"Loved our stay in the Mahogany beachfront suite. The hotel grounds were spotless and the staff was always available for anything we needed. Enjoyed lunch in the main restaurant and had a nice dinner at the pizza restaurant. Tried to get ceviche one evening but they were closed at 7:10 despite a posted closing time of 7:30. Kayaks and a sailboat are available for guest use and we found them to be in good condition. The location is a bit out of town so you need some kind of transportation if you want to leave the resort. We used the complimentary bicycles to go to Hopkins Village during the day but the bikes are not an option for dinner as they have to be back by 5pm. We would stay again."

A Few Things to Know: 🔹 No full-length mirror in my room—something to keep in mind if that matters to you. 🔹 The restaurant closes about an hour after check-in (around 4:30 PM), so if you’re arriving late, grab some food beforehand or wait until dinner at 6. Other than that, this stay was exactly what I needed. If you’re looking for a resort where you’re treated like family, where the people truly care, and where you can reconnect with yourself in a beautiful, peaceful setting, this is the place. I'd return in a beat."
