"Kendal is a great place for heading out to all areas of the Lake District. And Mint Cake Mews is perfectly placed… a 2 minute walk into Kendal and a 5 minute drive to the main arterial routes to Windermere, Keswick, etc. The property has been tastefully modernised throughout, the accommodation was comfortable, and easy to keep clean for dog owners. "This property is perfect for a weekend away in the lakes. It’s very central in Coniston but still quiet so much so we never took the cars out at all! The house is well equipped and beautifully appointed and the communication from Brad was excellent. As noted in the details the staircase is steep and one of the bathrooms is one the second floor but we just felt you needed to be careful on them and then they were fine. Thanks Brad and Sue for a very memorable stay."

"Loved this cozy cottage in the perfect location Very clean on arrival & has 2 beautiful bedrooms with en suite which is an excellent bonus for sharing with friends or family .. showers were fantastic & lovely big bath too.. "The property was very clean, warm and comfortable. The top bedroom, which was in the attic was well appointed but our group felt it might not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. I was able to contact the owners easily and they responded to my requests for extra crockery promptly. "Lovely clean spacious apartment. If I was nit-picking I would say that the kitchen cupboard doors are in need of a little bit of tlc but apart from that very good. The pool is lovely but a bit on the cold side for my liking but other people might think it was fine. The evening meal in the Restaurant was excellent & we would definitely eat there again. We are returning at Xmas & already looking forward to our next stay. "

Wonderful relaxing stay

"Had a wonderful stay for my Birthday. Every member of staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Hot tub was clean and ready for us as soon as we arrived. The attention to detail at this hotel makes all the difference! Spa facilities were perfect we enjoyed a lovely few hours in the evening with a couple of Proseccos and then another lovely couple of hours in the morning with a coffee. Best hotel I’ve stayed in so far in the lakes, cannot recommend enough! "
