"Have wanted to stay in this hotel for some time after being a fan of Dennis Severs House museum (next door) and this hotel did not disappoint. The staff were lovely and kindly accommodated an early check in after an overnight flight from Canada. "I really enjoyed staying at Mama Shelter. I was traveling solo and it was fun to be in the lobby and restaurant with all the other people. The hotel room was quiet even though I was on the street side. I loved the location. There's a bus stop across the street. Wonderful market on the weekend within easy walking distance (Broadway Market) and a beautiful park nearby with animals and a restaurant, Hackney Park."

"I was moved to the Crown Plaza re maintenance work being carried out at Holiday in Express Old Street. Lovely hotel however this added 1hr each day for travelling over to Shoreditch on the tube which I was trying to avoid using. The hotel was clean however I was quite amazed that they only clean, replenish tea/coffee/water if you ask! this is not done on a daily basis. "
