"I'm hesitant to recommend Takayama because one of its charms is that it is off the beaten track, and who wants more people there to spoil this? But, in truth, the town is a wonderful place, and this hotel was very good. We came from Tokyo so were delighted to find a very large room, very clean, and very comfortable. "We stayed in the family suite. The design was well thought out and the beds were comfortable. The location was across the street from a 7 Eleven which was super convenient. There is a ramen place next door. It is a close walk to the bus station and you can walk from the hotel into town. Overall it was a really pleasant stay for a family of 5."
