"What’s fantastic hotel. Amazing staff, so helpful, we felt very pampered. We had two corner rooms,(well worth the small premium). One room had views of the bullet trains coming and going, plus sunset vistas. The other room had great views of the city and we saw a spectacular sunrise. The only issue we had was the restaurant in the evening, the food was disappointing and our order was incomplete and we were brought the wrong wine. The wine was resolved quickly, given the quality of the food we didn’t bother chasing up the missing dish The breakfast on the other hand was very good, great choice, both local and continental Fantastic parking and we loved the concession price Overall a fantastic stay, that was brilliant value for money in a great location"

"Very easy accessible location and all shopping, dinning and attractions are within waking distance from public transportation. Hotel room is clean and size is good for triple sharing. "

"Good location. Central to most attractions being close to the castle. We only spent a night in kumamoto but felt that this hotel was good value. Parking in front of the hotel was a bit tight depending on the spots available. They do have another parking area though. Hotel was clean and as described in the listing. Overall, a good stay."

"The Hotel Nikko was perhaps the finest hotel I have ever stayed in!! EVERYTHING was exceptional! The staff was very courteous and helpful with us with navigating Japanese language. The front lounge was a beautiful setting for us to meet with friends. The breakfast buffet was something i looked forward to every morning- vast variety of Japanese cuisine and other breakfast foods. It was absolutley delicious!! The Hotel Nikko was within 5 min walk to Kumamoto Castle and huge shopping area. I most definitley stay here again.!! "

"It's very near shopping area and transport by street car is very convenient.. only sideback is the parking is quite a distance from the hotel.. but if not driving, then all is good"

"Booked primarily because it is close to jr station. Downside after 8pm nothing nearby open except family mart inside station. Staff were great. Assisted filling out the luggage transfer form and retrieving card when I locked my self out while checking out. Bed is firm and comfortable. Ac can be controlled. Shower press is great "
