"A small family-run guest house in Kami, which is a small town with few shops and restaurants. The onsen was located just off the main road thus considered convenient (for self drive). All guest rooms (with Japanese tatami) were located upstairs with narrow corridor, thus we couldn't bring luggage up but pack some overnight stuff instead. "Loved my stay here. The location was great, just a short walk to the main vine bridge in Iya Valley. But it's also secluded enough to really feel the remoteness of Iya Valley. My room was wonderful, very well appointed and clean. The high point was the staff. They were all wonderful and kind, and went above and beyond during my stay. They even drove me to the bus stop in the morning so that I wouldn't have to walk with my suitcase. I would absolutely stay here again."

"There is nothing unique about this Hotel. The owner has to renovate this establishment. It’s not a place for humans. It’s totally runned down. The car bets are stained all over the place. The lobby is dirty, the sofas are stained, you cannot sit on them. In the rooms the curtains are stained, torn, no blinds. The condition of every furniture is bad, needs fixing or get new. The food is served in a old people home dyining room. Looks like the fifties, or a senatorium in the former USSR. The food...

"気さくな女将さんが家族を迎えるような感じでした。 浴場は贅沢を言わなければ入れます。が、 備品は一切ありません。ティッシュペーパーさえ無いのは論外でした。"

"埃などは落ちてないので清潔ではあるが、何せ建物や備品が古いままな為、カーテンや扉の紙の日焼けやシミがそのまま残ってしまっているのが残念。 昭和世代はまだ耐えられるが、それ以降の人達には厳しいかもしれません。お湯がなかなか出てこないのも大変。それだけ今の世の中が便利で楽になったという事を感じれます笑 部屋及び風呂からの眺めも窓を変えるだけでもかなり変わるはずですが、経営上なかなか難しいんでしょうね。 それでも旅館の方達は高齢ですが、親切で良い方ばかりです。"
