I stayed for my birthday on my own and it was very satisfying stay with warm staff with lovely gift for my birthday which I didn’t expect!but nice to have.I booked a room with own outdoor bath that was the right choice for relaxation with my own pace
The dinner was fabulous. Onsen was a bit crowded though.

Bad value for money
The good:
- nice onsen, but not the one we saw on the pictures (it's for more expensive rooms)
- large hotel complex with own restaurant and pub
- good location
The bad:
- very high price for an outdated and old room, that wasn't very comfortable, one of the worst rooms we had in Japan, but one of the most expensive ones...
- hotel is huge but they wouldn't let us check in even a few minutes before 3pm
- hotel is very big, so you have to walk a lot to get to your room
- pictures of the hotel look more promising than the hotel itself
- price didn't even include breakfast!
Very good staff service from the moment you get to the door of the Hotel. The room is big and the two meals were good. The hotel also sent us to the JR station upon our request.
We opted for a Japanese style room and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Breakfast was mainly Japanese goodies with a few basic cereals, we would highly recommend the rice and curry. We had dinner included in our package and it was truly amazing, lots of courses including sushi, tempura, rice, noodles and lots of fish. The surrounding area has temples and walks in the mountains and is very beautiful. The staff made us welcome and the manager spoke good English. I would recommend and don't forget to try out the onsen.
The front desk and room services are great. I left my mobile in the toilet of my hotel room after checking out. Fortunately, when I returned to approach the staff of front desk, my mobile was showed up suprisingly. Thank you so much.
