"It's difficult to get anywhere. Rely on limited scheduled free shuttle bus. Public bus is expensive without ride pass. No 24hrs convenience store. The one at lobby is limited. Only one restaurant and expensive buffet. Niseko-yo is very expensive and limited choice. No food truck around vanicity."

"The room view was great, and the weather was great on the first day, which is essential to enjoy the view of Mt. Yotei. The room was clean but not air-conditioned. Houses in Hokkaido are designed primarily for winter, so it wasn’t cool enough during high summer. Considering the level of global warming, I suppose an air-con will be a must in Hokkaido now... unless the present trend reversed and the climate gets cooler. Otherwise the stay was great!!!"

"Had a pleasent stay and closeby main attractions. Do note that the stay is on top of the hills so its difficult to get to by foot. However, the view is very nice. "

"The hotel is a bit old. The location is great except we couldn't get a booking at any of their three good restaurants and we were there for a week. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Overall it was an 8/10. "

"Well located hotel right in front of the Otaru train station. Service is best in class. Onsen offers variety of choices including outdoors and indoors. 9 to 11 pm offers free ramen and ice cream. In the morning it offers free yogurt drink and welcome snacks. Little things add up to an unforgettable experience. My wife and daughter enjoy the stay very much. Also, it is 3 minute walk from fish market with lots of fresh seafood options. The whole town with many landmarks, museums, shops and restaurants, this is the ultimate #1 first stop in Hokkaido. We highly recomend this hotel for your stay in Otaru."

"Beautiful property and facilities with high-end finishes and design. Excellent food (breakfast) and good restaurants. Only downside is that there is no walkable "local" area to explore. The hotel is self-contained but isolated, and one needs to take the shuttle to Hirafu to be in town. That said, it was a wonderful place to ski in and out of, with fantastic service and amenities."
