"Clean and spacious room! The hotel was in an ideal location and within great proximity of the train station, post office, museums, the canal, bus depot, restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed their breakfast buffet with many options as well."

Everything from check in with welcoming attentive reception staff to other staff, the view from the room, the location, the ambiance/ decor - this hotel is recommended. "Great, small hotel in a sleepy very small city. Otaru is absolutely fantastic. Amazing food, but don’t expect late nights out. Clean, comfortable room and a super helpful staff. Ski room was a nice feature. No free parking, but for a city, and it wasn’t too pricey. 1000 yen/night. The only thing it’s missing is an onsen, but there are a few public ones close by. We stayed here while skiing Kiroro; great small mountain. Both Otaru and Kiriro were perfect for a local feel and not having a western resort vibe. 👍"

"This was a lovely stay in Otaru. Pleasant staff and our room was unexpectedly ready early (rare in Hokkaido). The free wine in the lounge is a lovely perk. Rooms are small but functional with hot water showers. Could use a bit more storage in the bathroom, but we made it work. Staff are all friendly and the breakfasts were massive and delicious. Thanks for the great stay!"
