"The condo is decorated well and is quite cozy. The condo overlooks a small section of the ski slope and has a nice view. It will more than likely have a great view in the winter as we were here in September with the leaves still on the trees. I believe you could probably walk down from the condo and be at the Ski Resort in a few minutes, but I did not go this time. Bring your own bath soap and shampoos, but everything else is there. "Our family really enjoyed our weekend at Beech Mountain. The house was very nice, easy to get to and had more than enough room for the 7 of us. The area around Beech Mountain and Banner Elk was just loaded with things to do and see. We will definitely be back again."

"I love every second that we stayed here. Everything checks our ideal vacation. Quiet, secluded w/ a beautiful view. Our older dog is non aggressive reactive so every year I try to find us a secluded place where he could enjoy too. This is definitely the top of the most beautiful place we’ve ever stay. "This was a wonderful location with a beautiful view. Close to a lot of activities. Mother Nature decided to deliver THE terrible storm at the end of our stay. Thanks goddess we were in this safe and secure home. We will be back in the future. "

"Our stay at the Honey Bear house was magical. The house had a stunning view of the mountains, had all the amenities as advertised, and was really comfortable! We felt on top of the world, yet had all sorts of hiking, a grocery store and other local amenities within a 10 mile radius. The hosts were super responsive to questions from booking to past checkout. We’ll be back to Honey Bear for sure!"

"Ski Roost has a wonderful view from the deck and is equipped with little touches that make for a wonderful stay. There were some yard games and sharpies to decorate rocks on the deck, the retro arcade game was a huge hit with the kids and adults, and the deck fire pit gave warmth while we took in the view in the morning and evening. We noticed a pack and play and stairway gate in a closet that would be so helpful for younger kiddos too. The living room tv was a smart tv that let us sign in to...

"The house could have been cleaner. I did have good communication with the host. I liked having a separate living spaces so that the teenagers had their own space. Make sure you read the amenities. I did not realize that there was not AC that’s my fault for not reading thoroughly. Definitely had to go out and buy some fans. Beautiful view!"

"This stay was terrible. Didn’t see anywhere on listing this place didn’t have AC. Then the power went out so we didn’t have power for a whole day. Payed for late check out and they rental company didn’t tell a realtor so we ended up having to leave early because a house showing. Trash left over from previous tenets."

"Thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful babbling brook, the hiking trail that went just behind the back yard, roasting S’mores in the beautiful fire pit. Was great to start the day with an amazing coffee bar. Kudos to the cleaning crew for a spotless house!"

"Our family of four had a weekend visiting Blowing Rock and Boone. The view at this house was definitely a highlight!"

"We have stayed in Sugar Mtn countless times over the decades, both in houses and condos, and we thoroughly enjoyed this round house. It was clean and well-stocked and having two toilets upstairs was nice. My husband and I (in our 60's) stayed in the basement in the bunk beds, a first, and we have never experienced a spiral staircase like that! For anyone very overweight or with bad knees, I would suggest you enter that room using the outside stairs from the deck and avoid the staircase. Despite...

"The room was so cute and cozy. Lobby had the warmest ambiance and offered lots of coffee, cider, hot cocoa, etc. options. Staff was so friendly and the hotel has a great view and is walking distance from stores, breweries, etc. "

Boxwood Lodge at Blowing Rock

"The hotel was older but had more personality than the new modern hotels. The property was well maintained and beautifully landscaped. We were even welcomed by a deer passing by. The room was perfect for two people, had everything you would need for a night. The bed was comfortable. We had a very restful night."

"Nice property. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Light bulb missing in table between beds. Had to ask maid to get one. Toilet leaked, so the toilet refilled the tank every 2 minutes. Fortunately the walls are well insulated and the toilet did not keep us awake all night. "
