Yvonne the manager went far beyond and out of her way to make us feel welcome and helped us sort out our broken down vehicle. "A beautiful and unique property where the chalets are private by being far away from each other. With no lights around, the starts at night were fantastic. "We hadn't originally intended staying in Solitaire, but rescheduling issues meant we slotted this lodge in at the last minute. I hadn't been optimistic about what we'd find - after all, Solitaire is a small, very remote place. But I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the rooms comfortable, a good size and in excellent condition; the restaurant area is terrific and the food very good; the surroundings are quite charming, with a scattered collection of old cars....
