"It was a bit of a shock when driving from the main road to the property - at first it appeared to be in the middle of nowhere and seemed unsafe. We arrived at the property and were welcomed by really lovely staff, checked in and walked past reception and wow what an oasis - it was just like the photos - absolutely beautiful. There is nowhere around the villa to eat but there is a restaurant on site where you can order food anytime between 7am-10pm and there is transport available for a small fee...

"Great pool, room required some routine maintenance to bring it up to scratch. Noisy due to location - which was a great location, so bring some ear plugs to combat this. You will also need to grab some bug spray to beat the mosquitoes. Servicing seemed to be done on request not daily. No shampoo or conditioner supplied. Toothbrush and soap was supplied though. Over all a cheep and cheerful place to stay but could easily be improved to amazing with some added touches."

"We stayed 2 nights in the Jelo Villa, at the Mawun Raya resort ... perched on a hill, with a wonderful view! The villa was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was excellent, the pool and landscaping fabulous (except for a mature dying tree in front of our villa that should be trimmed) and above all, the friendly and always smiling staff!
