"Love Madeira and the place is in a great location. Unfortunatley, after booking our non-refundable five-night stay we were charged an additional $140 for an "additional guest fee". Even though the Vrbo is listed for four guests, he charged us an addition $140 because we had three total guests and the base rate price is only for two guests. Good luck if you have any more than two guests because you will be charged almost double for your stay and will not be able to cancel after you booked it."

"Excellent property right in Funchal. It was just done up last August. The owner contacted us before our trip to get basic flight details so she can be ready for us. Our flight was detoured and delayed for several hours the owner Ligia left a message for us so we managed to WhatsApp her when we arrived. "The Host messaged canceling booking but referenced a different property than the one we booked. We finally figured out which property and made alternate plans naturally expecting a full refund. VRBO and/or the host did not refund the payment until we contacted them a month later and had to ask for a refund. We eventually received a partial refund only.
