"Our house was damaged in the May 7 Portage, MI tornado so after outside repairs were completed, we moved out for 2 weeks while they completed inside repairs. While the tornado was a tragic experience for us, to be able to spend time at this location, on the lake (the sunrise is breathtaking), with family and friends was a blessing in disguise. We also brought fishing boats, but being able to get many friends out on the lake on the same boat and not having to trailer a big pontoon in was incredible. If you want a place to get away and have some quiet time this is it. Either plan to do your own cooking or have a bit of a drive each evening for dinner.
