"The hotel's location is perfect for walking around downtown Willemstad, including Punda. The staff was attentive, and the bartender, Terance, was the best at the 5 O'Clock Bar! Overall, it was a wonderful vacation."

" My girlfriend and I as well as my two friends stayed on vacation for the week of November, 30th to December, 7th 2024. From the moment that we checked in at the lobby, the staff at the front desk were very friendly and extremely courteous. This is the oldest hotel on Curacao and some of the history is on display with old photos and paintings in the lobby. Wonderful architecture and the layout of this resort is amazing. Our hotel room had plenty of space, the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing. Perfect water pressure and the unit had plenty of shelf, closet and drawer space. We had a small balcony that looked out over the pool and ocean. The room had a safe, mini-fridge and plenty of bathroom space. We were always well stocked with linens and towels. A nice touch is that they provide you with sunblock and inset repellent. For a point of reference, my group stayed at the Octagon Standard on the fourth floor. As far a restaurant options are concerned, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Pen Restaurant and Terrace and snacks at the Schooner Bar. The staff at both facilities were very attentive and friendly. We didn’t get the chance to dine at the Blues Restaurant because it wasn’t open to suit our schedule. The only critique that I have is that less expensive options for breakfast and lunch aren’t available. What I really loved and enjoyed was the layout of the two beaches at Avila. Amazing snorkeling and over too crowded. "

"My only regret on my Curaçao trip, was not staying at this hotel the whole time! Such a great vibe, beautiful pool, and excellent cocktails and service. The stairs would be tough to rooms if mobility issues, so definitely mention if necessary for first floor accommodations. "
