"This Hacienda is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are stunning, so much to see and explore. The little casita rooms were very clean and well equipped. The staff were wonderful. We stayed here as a family of four and can’t wait to return. Next time we would bring our own food as there’s a kitchen in the Casita, and the restaurant is only opened for breakfast which we didn’t know. Everything was wonderful. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, and a time to relax in gorgeous surroundings then this is the place. It’s also only one hour from Merida, Izamal and the beach. So a great location for a longer term stay. "

"We enjoyed our time at the house. It was comfortable and just steps from the beach. The porch facing the beach is covered and really big. It catches the breeze most of the day. It is a wonderful place to eat breakfast. The bedrooms are large and the beds were comfortable for us. We like a little firmer mattress so it suited us perfectly. It was great to have a/c in the bedroom but we only had to use it one night as the breeze kept us cool enough. I can imagine in the summer the a/c would be needed. It has grown up quite a bit around the house. The place next door was very busy on the weekend but it still didn’t feel too crowded only louder than during the week. Just know that there are houses apartments and small resorts around the property. There are not money changers everywhere like around Cancun area so stop in Merida at an atm before you come down to the area. Most places we went preferred pesos. Violet was very helpful and responsive to our questions. She recommended places close by that could be visited. We loved seeing all the different birds fishing just outside the house and spent quite a bit of time walking the beach. It would be nice to have a few books in the house to change out with the ones we brought. We went to several places close by looking for books but couldn’t find any. We left all our books so maybe that can be the start of a small book exchange library in the house. Overall, we had a great week!. Thank you for sharing your home!"

"We had an awesome time at this property the 2 sisters running the property were very accommodating and did what ever they could to make us as comfortable as possible. The place was nice and clean. there was 3 of us and we stayed with 3 others and we had lots of room. The pool was nice and cool for the hot days and for the days the beach was a little too wild. Walking down the beach was really nice also, The location was also good just a half hour away from Merida where we felt really safe with our young kids. The people were really sweet and there’s a huge retirement community there also. We left a few days early and went to Cancún and we wished we stayed instead. I 100% recommend you come and stay at least a few days and check out the surroundings and small businesses, also in the month of January there’s lots of wild flamingoes. "Very nice, remote, bumpy road leading to hotel, quiet, beautiful large rooms, oceanview and ocean is about a block from hotel. Nice tropical hideaway to getaway and relax."

"The experience with staff and facilities was very good overall. The front desk and restaurant employees were excellent. The resort is very quiet and one might feel as if you have the place almost to yourself. There was a couple of downsides, that one might expect. You are in the jungle and there may very well be bugs (read spiders). They assured us that none are harmful. The bathrooms somehow are aging worse than the rest of the rooms. They should not have painted the showers etc as this has led to mold, at least in our case. All that said, for the price, the hotel is excellent, in general. We thank the staff for their kind attention during our stay."
