"It is really a superb hotel. In Matera to be able to sleep in a room "cave" is quite special. The room #5 is large and had everything we needed except a big mirror. The only one was a small square one in the open bathroom above the lavabo and the lighthening was more romantic then useful there! I know it is not the same in every room as every room has a special design and decoration. The reception and the breakfast room are also beautiful. Como punto negativo es que para ir andando al centro histórico hay un paseo un poco pesado porque es cuesta arriba, pero se puede hacer. Puedes intentar acercar más el coche, pero el aparcamiento a la entrada del centro está complicado y es de pago. Los alojamientos más céntricos eran demasiado caros y además como digo la habitación era muy bonita y el dueño muy agradable. "

"View to Matera from the balcony was amazing. The property has no air conditioning and it was 40C/100F while we were there so it was warm. There were two fans and the lower bedroom was cool enough to sleep. Location was great for walking anywhere. Matera is beautiful and amazing, but I would avoid June through August in future."
