"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything available on site, but also very easy walking distance to Funchal centre. All of the staff were extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful & breakfast was a delicious choice of fresh & cooked food. "Lovely hotel with great views. Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent breakfast. Dinner was just ok. Fancy looking but not great. There are far better dining options with much better quality food at lower prices in town. You must have a car or use taxi/uber as there are no paved areas on the roads surrounding the hotel and walking is perilous. "

"Overall a good experience. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival which was a nice touch however a night there was a lot of noise until late as well as early in the morning. I’m not sure if this was due to location of the room (being on first floor and above the dining room/kitchen). It was difficult to sleep, especially if you’re a light sleeper."
