"Perfect stay, the property is lovely, very old but has been tastefully modernised. My only negative point, and the reason for 4 stars and not 5 was I wished somebody had warned us about the building work next door. This started around 8am and included what sounded like hammering on our bedroom wall. Fortunately, we are early risers!"

Was initially concerned about the outside noise at night but was pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel was conveniently tucked away from all the noise on the main streets with all the nightlife. Everything is still super close and within a very short walking distance (5mins or less) though you have to deal with some hills here and there depending on where you want to go. Would not recommend if you are older and require assistance walking due to...

"The welcome and the service during the stay was warm and supportive. The top room with terrace was very spacious, and the night view on the city and the Castle was exceptional. The hotel pays attention to details and there is great taste in the setups, the art displayed, the music played during breakfast, the way the breakfast is presented. "We stayed in two locations in Lisbon. Alfama area and here. Loved the area! Felt like I was staying among locals and not crowds of tourists. The hotel is on a quiet street. Walkable to restaurants and a pharmacy. Felt safe walking back at night. Building is old but well maintained. Staff was lovely. Free Breakfast was good. Loved having a place to enjoy afternoon coffee in the breakfast/ patio area to relax and get our second wind. "

"Great place . Wonderful location. Wonderful staff! Great Breakfast. We had 2 rooms - one room /apartment had a very large bathroom however the bathroom was really small in the other room the Superior Apartment. The shower was tiny in that bathroom. You may want to check on bathroom size in the room/apartment you choose. "

"Amazing stay! Cute bed and breakfast that is near lots of amazing restaurants and bars. It is tucked away on a quiet street so there is no street noise. Everyone there is so nice. Highly recommend! "

"This place was awful. NO AIR CONDITIONING which is not mentioned anywhere on Expedia. Apparently, Expedia has that info but not listed anywhere. Would not have booked this place if I had known there was no air conditioning. No fans either and on top of that window was broken and couldn't be opened. Temp was close to 80 when I got there. Expedia was of no help finding me another room. Left within an hour of arriving. Temp next day was 102 degrees. Unacceptable at any price."
